  1. I am a Sierra Leonean currently based in the USA, with a background in IT & Telecommunication Engineering. During my undergraduate degree program at DeVry University, Arlington,VA i decided to utilized my time and studies in writing a Project Proposal in the Integration of Information and Communication Technology in Primary & Secondary Schools learning System of Sierra Leone (Wangoh One Laptop Per Child Project) as of 2012 to present. Since then, the entire Sierra Leone’s education system was thoroughly researched and there is a need for such new education curriculum to be integrated into the current traditional system thereby allowing the boy-child and girl-child to use computer as a learning tool that contains many books and also be able to connect to the outside world.

  3. I have a question rather than a comment. What is the sensor in the photo above presumably checking water quality.
I would like to submit a proposal concerning obtaining laptops for a science class at my school where I currently work as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cambodia. We are located on the Sangkhar river in Battambang province. No earth science and little biology is currently taught. It is my hope to begin some science classes centered on environmental preservation and educate our students concerning the unique river environment in which we are currently located. Explore water quality, fauna and flora, river mechanics etc.
If successful, could we obtain the pictured sensors as well?

  9. I am having difficulty finding out how my non-profit can purchase the laptops in quantity for a special program. Call to Amazon was a dead end. Please could someone email me on this. We just want to buy some!

  10. This sounds like a great way to get kids to really get in touch with the whole around them. Todays kids learn better and seems that it stays with them longer when they learn hands on. And I belive that laptops for kids is just what they need. There future is not text books its all becoming computers, and the earlier we start our child the better they will do.
But, how do we go about getting something like this for our school?
