Realizing the dream: thoughts from a NYT Arts editor

Alice Rawsthorn writes today about the realization of the OLPC dream, and the next million laptops.  A few details are off: the UN-watching blog isn’t part of the UN and doesn’t speak for anyone there, for instance.  But there are some interesting quotes from people at Architecture for Humanity and MOMA.

  1. “Techies have said it wouldn’t work and raged when OLPC replaced its bespoke operating system with one of Microsoft’s” is also deeply incorrect and damaging, which is a big shame.
